Augsburg, February 6 th 2025 – After three years of successful growth, BMKyourproto celebrated the delivery of its 1,000 th prototype order to regular customer ExOne, a global market leader for additive manufacturing technologies based in Gersthofen, at the end of last year. The milestone assembly was handed over in person by the BMK prototyping service customer team.

BMKyourproto offers a fast prototyping service for demanding electronics projects based on
over 30 years of manufacturing expertise. In recent years, the division has seen successful business development and the range of prototyping services has been continuously expanded in line with customer requirements. The introduction of the BMKyourproto-Portal in 2022 revolutionised technical customer communication. Since then, customers have been communicating with BMK via the digital and interactive platform, which provides immediate feedback on component availability, prices and delivery times. “The delivery of the 1.000 th assembly represents a great success for our prototyping team. Above all, it is a sign of the market demand for our range of services. This includes high-quality prototypes with the shortest lead times as well as customised additional services“, explains Mario Rehbehn, Head of BMK Prototyping Sales Team.
Strong regional partnership with ExOne
3D printing systems manufacturer ExOne has been a BMKyourproto customer since 2022 and actively uses the BMKyourproto-Portal. Stefan Scheifele, Head of Purchasing at ExOne, emphasises not only the accelerated time-to-market thanks to BMK’s prototyping service, but also the advantage of regional electronics production: “By working with BMKyourproto, we can quickly put our innovative print head control systems into operation in first-calss quality. We deliberately rely on local suppliers in order to strengthen the regional economy and keep delivery routes short in the interest of a sustainable future.
