Augsburg, March 2nd, 2024 – BMK and industrial camera manufacturer IDS Imaging Development Systems maintain a long-standing partnership. BMK has once again received the IDS Supplier Excellence Award for the 2023 fiscal year for its successful collaboration in a dynamic market environment.

2023: Aftermath of the crisis years in the electronics market
The weakening allocation situation allowed the electronics industry to breathe a small sigh of relief over the course of 2023. Nevertheless, the consequences of the past crisis years continue to be felt in the form of price increases and delivery problems. While the first half of 2023 was characterized by material shortages and bottlenecks in capacity, the second half of the year saw a shift towards declining customer orders, delays, and increasing material stock.

Resilience through strong partnerships
Proactive risk management, transparency and strong partnerships are the decisive factors in dealing with these volatile market conditions. For example, solutions can be found in joint crisis-related extensions of framework terms and agreements for processing obsolete material. Alexander Lewinsky, Managing Director of IDS, emphasizes, "Our collaboration with BMK has always been on equal terms. Communication between both companies is open and honest. BMK receives IDS Supplier Excellence Award
In recognition of the successful cooperation, IDS has again honored BMK with the IDS Supplier Excellence Award. The camera manufacturer particularly appreciates the high quality of the deliveries, the flexible availability, and the quick response times. BMK’s cooperative behavior and great communication received the highest evaluation score.

BMK is celebrating 30 years of passion for electronics this year. IDS has been a customer for around 25 years, which symbolizes a longstanding and stable cooperation between both companies. "Thanks to our long-term partnership, decisions are made on the basis of mutual trust. Both sides know and understand each other, so that joint compromises can be easily agreed upon and are supported by everyone," emphasizes Thomas Häring, BU Manager at BMK.
