Third place prize at the Paul Award 2020 went to a study on energy harvesting in running shoes.

On November 20th, Philipp Lorenz, a student at the Technical University of Ulm and working student at BMK, was awarded third place in the eTech Talents category by the Electronics Design Association (FED) eV for his technological study on energy harvesting in running shoes. Due to the current Corona situation, the award ceremony took place as an online event.

Last Friday BMK electronic services GmbH was awarded the Augsburg Future Prize 2020.

Spring 2020: Due to the tightened security measures from Covid 19, the start of the season was unfortunately postponed for most sailors. Although the regulations started to ease up at the beginning of June, many “Mothies” were not back on the water until the beginning of August – a long break, also for Franzi. She discussed with us the late start of the season and how she did at the regatta weekend on Lake Achensee.

The founding of a new BMK branch in Changzhou creates optimization within the supply chain

BMK established a site in the Changzhou, Jiangsu province to optimize its worldwide supply chain.

BMK's purchasing volume in China grew gradually. Initially, mainly PCBs were purchased, however this expanded eventually to components as well. This led to the decision to open our own location in China.
